Loading A Glass Rod

Featured Replies

Power and action being equal, does it take more force/mass to load a glass rod as opposed to graphite? Is there much if a difference at all when getting the rod to load? I know the naturally slower action of the glass can really store some power, but just curious what it takes to get there.

Thanks.

I feel that it is easier to load my glass rod. I don't have to swing quite as hard as my graphite rod with the same power rating.

You'll probably get a wide array of answeres on this.

I find that it is considerably easier to load / launch  & cast with a properly matched / balance fiberglass rod & reel when compared to graphite.

So there you go.
