like filing the lower lip or change out treble and feathered treble? What trebles do you use? And how far down do you file the lower lip on you Pop R?

Scratch it on pavement until you could put a straight edge on the top of the nose and it would touch both the line tie and the scuffed up lower lip.

I put owner stinger hooks on all my pop r and spooks.that's about it for mods I do I will play around with paint when I get really bored.

What does that do?

Occasionally ill hit the bottom of the mouth with a red marker.. cant say it works. But its a confindence thing.

Put EWG hooks on it. Replace feathered treble with a non feathered one for a smaller profile if you want. 

Don't bother, the Splash -It has all Zell Roland's mods plus feathered Owner hooks.

Pop-R's were designed to be fished slowly, however they work better fished faster. Zell Roland was one of the original modifiers of the Pop-R, he sanded the lower lip to spit and shaved the sides to be more stream line.

The Japanese took this to another level with a Pop-R type lure called a Michael, others followed until the Splash-It put all the mods together.
