I am looking for recommendations.  While at the Quad Cities Outdoor Show today I couldn't pass up a seriously discounted Veritas rod.  It is a 6' 9" MH extra fast - micro guide series.  Two part question, 1) what applications would work well with this rod?, and 2) in your opinion what would be the BEST application?  It will be paired up with a Quantum KVD, Lew's SS, or Curado E.  Line recommendations for the application would also be helpful. I have the exact same rod with the Lew's Speed Spool on it.  I have 12# yo zuri hybrid line on it.  Last year I used it for light texas rigged baits and spinnerbaits with good luck.  I plan on trying it out tomorrow with a jerkbait to see how it does.

Pitching jigs, punching, texas rigged plastics. Its a heavy powered rod since Abus tend to be on the stiffer side. Put some heavy braid like 50# and use it to rip fish out of cover. Oh yeah, dont forget to mount a Shimano on it lol

I'd use it for weightless Senko, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, lipless cranks, plastics, small jigs, etc. etc. Basically to me that would be a good all purpose rod.  I use my 6'10" compre MH/XF for all these.  I'd pair it with a 7.1 or 6.x reel.

6'9" for punching, lol. Is that for your kiddie pool?

A buddy of mine owns that rod, I used it for big spook type baits for striper one day and was very impressed. At the end of a long cast a gentle flick is all it takes to walk the bait. As a topwater nut who's wrist is starting to feel it from years of dog walking, this is appreciated. A really stout stick for its weight.
