I am in the market for a new spinner bait spinning rod. I am looking for advice on brand, length, action, power etc. Preferably a one piece in the $100 range.

You want to look at a 7ft mh rod. I do not use spinning reels for spinnerbaits  but you can do it if you use a 7ft mh rod. Popular rods are the abu garcia veritas. I like fenwick hmgs and anything st croix.

I do not use spinning rods

but i have vendetta in casting and it excels at throwing spinnerbaits

For spinnerbaits I would use at least a 6'6" MH Spinning rod.  7' MH preferably.  I am also an Abu guy.  

 

I prefer a baitcaster though.

Check out the Bass Pro Carbonlite. I have a 6'6" MH spinning, best $100 dollar rod.

I will throw booyah pond magics with it. It does any job I need it too. The Abus mentioned

aren't bad, I probably would take that as my second choice. I would go with whatever felt right in your hand. The Carbonlite is like a feather, I like the grips better too.
