I was wondering if anyone has ever painted your reels a different color and if so what kind of paint did you use?

I used spray cans of auto urethane and clearcoat to paint a reel once.  It takes a lot of prep, sanding, masking.  And the paint did not last very long before chipping.  I think for most guys, most of the time, you'll try it once and say "No more!".  JMHO

Nice looking reels in those links. But I still could not find what kind of paint people are using for this type of work.
