Ok So Now We See It!!back To The Original Claim Will It Revolutionize Fishing"???

Featured Replies

Advertising terms like 'revolutionary' just sail in one ear and out the other these days.  Every bait company out there engages in hype, hoping to generate a little excitement and a few more sales.  It's just the nature of the beast, whether you're SK, Rapala, Bomber, BassPro, Lucky Strike, you name it.  I say ignore the noise.

No reason to get wound up about it unless you plan to stop buying commercial stuff and fish only with lures and equipment you build yourself.  I ordered a few Scatter Shads because 1/ I saw the Youtube video and liked the action.  2/ I like Rapala lures.  and 3/ the cost is good compared to many other balsa crankbaits.

Maybe it'll be crap.  Maybe it will be  - Ta da!  REVOLUTIONARY!  Ha Ha

Really no sense in worrying about it until we get them wet, is there?

  • It's funny when guys poo-poo a crankbait designed to hunt, like the scatter shads.  Why are old Wiggle Warts and some old Bagley crankbaits highly desirable?  Because some of them have hunting action!

  • DONT MAKE ME GET INTO THE CRANK BAIT MARKET!!!NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT!!!!   If it catches fish-Im in-  I have been using Rapalas for forty years-

Ok So Now We See It!!back To The Original Claim Will It Revolutionize Fishing"???       No it will not. But it might be a very effective tool. Any crank bait that hunts while being retrieved will o

Im sick of works like "hunt",and "revolutionize". And frankly im sick of all the hype for this lure. Rapala may have made a good lure, they may have made a bad one,...who knows...

Rapala didnt re invent the wheel. The would have been better off to make A SUBTLE RELEASE of theirr product. Without hyping it to hights that the lure can never climb. When i say subtle, i mean release it like everyone else does...that means no (countdown to changing fishing forever) and stop using words like revolvtionize... not many lures do that.

the chatterbait design finally caught on but hardly revolutiionary.

The crazy thing to me is, all they had to do was show the action, show the bill and what it does and then shut up. It didnt need all the hype,..

Well think about it. It got many haters talking about it right? That's the power of advertising and marketing. When the Revo 3's came out they didn't claim to revolutionize the game but they came out with a bang. Advertising everywhere making countless YouTube clips.

Google up Salmo Whacky and Wigglefin. They have similar action but I bet most people hear never heard of them. Sometimes the subtle approach doesn't help your company. Many times these smaller companies just doesn't have the resource to spend that much money of marketing but if they did I bet they would.
