Hows everyone early season fishing going? i know the weathers been rough but when the sun shines how is everyone making out? i just started to catch fish again after going almost a month with getting skunked. 

Fishing has been up and down. Since first of the year, ive had skunk days and ive had a few GREAT DAY days on Gaston and Roanoke Rapids Lake. Its really been up and down with the weather and my adjustments and/or lack there of. I caught a nice bass estimated 6lbs on a football jig the same day my steering went out on my boat.

My brother and I did ok this last weekend.  He got a nice 4+ pounder, but I got zilch.  Water temps have been in the mid 40's, but I'm hoping that Randleman opening up this month will bring some bigger hauls.

It's been mostly tough the last few weeks, but we are getting close to the good stuff now. Just when it seem like we are turning the corner old man winter comes back to shut it down. But those big females will only wait so long, and March is the beginning of the days where you better be on the water...I know I will.
