Hopefully halladay does a little better but it sure was nice to see utley play well and get a triple and J-roll going first to third on a play he probably shouldn't have.

Yesterday's game was the strangest thing i have ever seen.  If anyone said Halladay has 9 strikeouts through 3 1/3 there is no way you would assume the phillies were down 5-0 and halladay would be pulled before recording another out.

 

What sucks even worse is two of the homers look like they should have been caught....oh well that is why they play 162 games a year.  I am just hoping no sweep.....

Not only his first loss of the year but the first time his team lost in his last 20 or so starts.  The phillies have been getting people on base but their hitting with RISP has been atrocious.  THey could have put up 2-4 runs in teh first inning last night.  As Charlie says, once it warms up it becomes hittin' season

Kinda feel sorry for Roberts, the guy just can't get any breaks. It is just one of those things. I don't think he will ever be a regular again. At least this is the last year he will be with the O's maybe Jay Z will get Cano to give the O's a sweet contract LOL.

As long as they keep the Nats close enough until they heat up, they will catch em. Don't think the Nats will have the stamina for the long haul.

I think Halladay self diagnosed his issues as 90% mental and half physical? But no one knows for sure he is waiting on a second opinion from Yogi. How about Cole Hamels? At least Doc is racking up some K's, Hamels numbers are plain awful.

They are both plain awful with ERAs north of 10. Doc looks like he did when they yanked him because of hear exhaustion last season. Hamels, who knows because he had a decent spring.

One last note....cliff lee for cy young!!!!! Dude is tearing it up.

I love how Lee quietly just does what he does, he signed where he wanted to sign, he just goes out and pitches without making headlines etc. If that was the case with half these big $ number one guys they would be crying to the newspapers about how their team is screwing them out of the Cy Young. He would be a number 1 starter on most teams, he doesn't care 1, 2 or 3, lets just play ball.
