You & me both! I gave up on mine for numerous untold reasons....just go alone or take wife now.

I would be up for it but that's a little far. I live in Roswell Ga so that would be a long drive. We can plan out a trip sometime if you want? You would probably want someone older though right?

yea i take my wife some but she just isn't as into it as i am.. my other fishing buddy is on 12 hr shifts 7 days a week.

I love that lake.  The wife and I come up every year and stay at Highlands Resort for a week either during the summer or over Thanksgiving.

it really is a good lake when the water is at a good level lots of spotted bass to catch and some nice lmb i fish tournaments out of highland marina an me and the wife honeymooned there (my idea to get in a lil extra fishing time in lol)

That's funny.  Nicole and I also honeymooned there.  We stayed in the cabin on the point.  It was new at the time, but is still an awesome place to stay.

yea i agree i just went fishing out there last weekend. caught two nice bass off that point

I have caught more fish within sight of that point than anywhere else in the lake. About six years ago, we spent thanksgiving there and Taylor, who was 11 at the time,  proceeded to to wear out the big spots in Highlands cove.  They were hanging just under a huge shad ball and about every other cast, her spinnerbait would bring in a 3 lb spot.  She still reminds me of that day. I only caught one.
