Depending on location, the answer might be to "wait for ice out".  :eyebrows:

 

Congrats on the new reel.  Rods look new, too.  I picked up a few new and new-to-me over the winter.  Like you I am SO ready to hit the water!

You will love it! Only, and I mean ONLY disadvantage I've found so far is that because it's made of aluminum, it gets cold, so wear gloves! :smiley:
