In the Ozarks, Eakins jigs are probably the standard that other finesse jigs are compared to.  They work good and look good with the paca chunks.  I think they work best using the Eakins craw trailer, (also made by Jewel Baits).  That has been the trailer that has worked best for me.

bought a half dozen eakins jigs last summer and loved them!  I will have to buy another dozen or so this year I'm sure... I keep losing them in rivers.

I loved PACA but man if the CLaws don't tear of easy.

Also will this bait catch big fish? i got 4 today missed10 lol

Still geting used to Jig fishing. the 4 i caught where 1lbs - 2lbs

One thing to remember about the Eakin's jig is it's intended to be a pitchin' and flippin' type jig, not a swimming or dragging jig. I read an article where Troy Eakins likes to cast his jigs to a specific peice of cover, let it sink, maybe jiggle it twice or so in place, then reel it back in and pitch it to another spot. The round head doesn't come through cover as well as other designs.

Really like this jig especially with a Berkely Chigger Craw to match.  3 inch in colder water and 4 inch in warmer water.

YEP! These are GREAT finesse jigs! I mostly pitch em around woody cover. I have also had success stroking these jigs. I use very aggressive hops, ripping the bait free from grass. Reaction strikes like crazy when the crawfish hatch! One of the only finesse jigs Ive found with a rattle keeper built in.

I use the 5/16 & 7/16 oz with a twin tail grub.  I stick with either black/blue, green pkn or mo craw.
