I live over by bartram park where are spots that have alligators around Jacksonville?

Someone said something about one being in one of the 3 ponds by racetrack and batrum but haven't seen it.

I was driving back from ponte verda and my girl spotted a alligator on the bank. So we pulled over and as we are walking toward the barbed wire fence as we get to it another one jumps in the water then was just floating on the top. They were small but cool seeing them in the wild. Got some decent pictures

Tie some rotted chicken around your neck and wait. You'll find some.

 

Amazing the size they can get. I fished on Toho a couple years ago and saw a few, but they were really spooky. Was at Santee Cooper a couple years prior to that and they must be used to fishermen because we would pass within 20 feet of them sunning on the banks and most wouldn't even move. Worst we get in IL is I see a couple small rat snakes swimming around every year.

Ponte Vedra is loaded with them. Multiple times I have had nice 3 footers come after my frogs, some real big ones just stare directly at you. Gets pretty annoying having to leave a great spot because of them. As far as Bartram area goes, I'm not much help, sorry.

That right there will get you a nice fine and possible jail time LOL

 

It's not the gators I am worried about, it is the cotton mouths and pygmies that send you to the hospital quick.....

 

AK I seen some right there at the stop light by micklers and A1A near the beach parking lot. Also seen one floating in the ponds underneath the 295/95  bridges next exit up from me.

there are plenty just keep looking around.
