Homemade Marker Buoys

Featured Replies

I was thinking of using some soda/Gatorade bottles, what should I use as a weight and what size weight should I use for river current.

Anyone use anything else as a marker?  I was thinking re-purposing one of those kiddie bowling sets that I think we have in the ever growing backroom of never used kids toys.

Its really not cost effective for the results. You can buy a pack of 2 for like $4. You have to make sure it will stop letting out line when it hits bottom, not sure how that would even happen in a river environment without knowing the depth and stopping the line. Then, I am not certain the current wont pull it under.

GPS is the ticket on this one.
