Buying Reels From Overstock.com?

Featured Replies

I'm on the market for a few new spinning reels. I happened to find one that I was looking for on Overstock.com for $20 less then everywhere else. Couple that with a manufacturer's mail in rebate and it's a very good deal.

So I want to know, who's used Overstock.com to buy a reel? Are they legit? I don't want a refurb, something with a defect or something manufactured cheaply and exclusively for Overstock. I'll pay the extra 20 bucks if thats the case.

The item is listed as new, and every thing seems on the up and up, but I was hoping to hear from some of you with past experiences with Overstock.com or anyone who may know anything about how they get they're merchandise.

I havnt bought a reel off there, but i did buy a tv and it was listed as new. And when i recieved it, it was perfect condition, looked as if i just picked it up from the local store myself. So i would say your good to go. If something is wrong with it, you should be able to return it for false advertisment..

Neither have I bought a reel from them, but have bought a couple other items with no regrets.

I've used them for non-fishing related items, no worries.

Overstock.com is legit.  I have bought everything from furniture to sunglasses to clothes and fishing gear.  The reels are sometimes cheaper, but not always.  I usually end up picking up a used one and saving myself the money. But no worries if you are ordering from them.

Bought a Sony Walkman a few years back. Good deal then and still working.wouldn't hesitate to use their service.

The name says it all, they purchase overruns or excess stock and re-sale it. Unless stated otherwise its all new and first quality

Was the internet even around when people were using a Walkman?
