My little brother gave me this lure when I first started out.  I'm not sure where he got it but I'm pretty sure its an older lure.  The only writing on it says Brooks Reefer.  I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.  Like maybe when it was made and the exact make and model.  I haven't been able to find much info about the company.  I've fished it a couple times.  Its a shallow diver and I really like the action on it.  If its an antique or something I may stop fishing it but I don't have the box and I wouldn't think that it would be worth anything really without it.

 

 

Looks like a Lazy Ike. I believe a google search is needed Tuckahoe. Maybe a history on the lazy Ike, it may reveal a knock off or maybe that was part of a series?

It does look like a lazy Ike but the part near the front hook makes it look like a lure made from plastic and as best as I can recall Lazy Ikes were wood baits. Lazy Ikes, Flat Fish and another I can't be sure of the name but Reefer rings a bell had similar shapes and actions. All three caught many fish and were probably used more by walleye fishermen than bass fishermen. All three were effective baits probably trolled more than cast.  

Looks like a salmon plug to me. I could be totally wrong though. hhahah

I saw that page.  I wonder if mine was always the way it is now or if it was once a jointed bait that someone lost/replaced the jointed part.  Either way like I said, the action is awesome.  The best way I can describe it is if you've ever fished an Eeliminator really slow, picture that action but at crankbait speed.  I guess Ill just keep looking.  Thanks for the replies everyone.
