Rigging Yammy Kreatures

Featured Replies

I was gifted with two packs of Kreatures - a green and a blue. They look great and I am hopefully going to be successful with them. Here is the question. How do you guys rig them for the best presentation? Fish 'em forward or in reverse? I live in Florida where I can fish daily on several lakes and want to give there a try. Thanks in advance.  :)

Those are great baits and I am sure you will have a lot of luck with them.

I use a regular T-rig for most applicatioins.  It is very wind resistent though so casting can be a problem.

I also had luck using them on a carolina rig this winter.

I always hook them forwards but who knows.  I have just as much luck rigging the Ika either direction so the same may hold true for this bait.  I just haven't tried it.

T-rigged(forward) for me; 3/8 oz, screw-in, rattling, Gambler weight and a 4/0 GY Sugoi hook.

I like these T-rigged with the weight pegged. I normally do not peg the weights on a T-rig, but with this bait, I've caught a lot more with the weight pegged. I use as light a weight as possible, and a rubber bobber stopper with a small bead to pin the weigh against the head of the bait. Any wide gap hook in 3/0 or 4/0 will work. I haven't tried it rigged backwards, yet.

Cheers,

GK
