Have been thinking about going up to colyer lake..have never fished it before.. was curious to see what they have in there?? Is it easy to fish from shore since i have no boat/kayak???

Cake to fish from shore, theres not much water in it right now. It may even be drained. I know they need to fix the dam and there was talk about it but I think the funding got cut so I am not certain where it stands.

 

It has bass, perch, crappies and pickerel

If you guys are talking about Colyer Lake on the other side of State College,you better hurry up and get over there.An article in the Altoona Mirror today stated that they are going to completly drain Colyer this year,and it will remain m-t for who knows when.This really stinks,that lake has some big largemouth in it.I fished it a few times,and always did well.
