For Those That Like Fishing Thier T-Rigged Plastics Pegged...

Featured Replies

Here's a tip on how to peg that weight.A lot of people like to use rubber bobber stoppers. What about those that don't have access to them locally and don't want to wait for them to come in on order...like myself.

Get about a 10-12 inch piece of discarded braided line.Go anywhere on the main line of your T-Rig setup and with the discarded braid, tie it onto the mainline with a uni knot...the more wraps, the bigger the knot.Snug the knot down by hand.

Do your best to leave 2 pieces of decent length tag ends.

Now take 2 pair of needle nose pliers and open the jaws on each and use the jaws to wrap the tag ends around the jaws.

Use plenty of "uuumph" pulling on the pliers in opposite directions to really cinch the knot down.Trim the tag ends and slide the "bobber stop knot" down to your sinker...

Don't know how well it works"yet" but it might work in a pinch...I'm sure you can use any line material you have at your disposal and it will work...

Anyone else already doing this?

I'm going to use rubber bands instead of bobber stoppers. I believe glenn has suggested that. Although the good ole toothpick hasn't failed me yet.

I have done that before and it works but you have to use some pretty heavy braid. I have found that flouro or mono works better and it works even better if you double the line up when making your wraps.

I use the tiniest split shot, and it's worked just fine for me.

Parasite weights.

or you can pull a rubber band through the sinker hole using a piece of braid.  make sure you are stretching the rubber band while you pull it through.  then cut off the tag ends of the rubber band.  works like a charm.  cheap too.

Does anybody use the hooks that have a weight welded on?
