looking for black poppers

Featured Replies

looked around some but can't seem to find any.anyone know of a brand that makes them or should i paint my own?

I have some modified Pop-Rs that I repainted. I made the baits fairly smooth with a rough grit sandpaper before going over with a real fine grit. I then used a Krylon Fuzion flat black to cover the baits with several light coats of paint. After about 4-5 coats. I then used Krylon matte clear coat used for spraying over pastel artwork to coat the bait with 3-4 protecting coats.

You can by Ricos in black though. Those are very good poppers that are a little pricey.

arbogast hula popper.

used to be my go-to topwater lure.

I have a few Rio Ricos that are black. A little pricey, but I love them.

Can't beat the rico in black. :)

Man I like the looks of that river2sea.

Megabass Pop X in black bug pattern

Academy H20 Express line has black pop-r's that have a loud rattle in them. I love thier pop-rs because they walk similar to a spook and they have a rattle in them. I've been doing really well lately on the bluegill color pop-r, but am leaning towards a black pop-r for my night tournys. Plus, they only cost 3.79.
