Foam For Flotation

Featured Replies

has anyone used the 4 x 8 sheets of pink rigid foam for floatation instead of buying the 2 part pour in foam,in a bass boat ?

It will be waterlogged in no time. Its an open cell insulation as far as I can remember.

The pink Foamular is closed-cell wont absorb water. Used for docks and such below grade foundations. Saw one guy made like two pontoons strapped a lawn chair to them rigged a trolling motor and use it as a boat.

Pink or blue from Lowes or Home Depot.  Both are closed cell foam.  The two part foams are usually open cell which is why you see everyone ripping it out of the boats they are redoing.
