36 Volt Motor Guide Problem

Featured Replies

This morning Taylor and I went out and everything was normal for a while.  Then the TM started going on and off every two seconds or so like a breaker was cycling.  So I bypassed my breaker near the batteries and it worked fine for a little while then started again.  It does it on momentary when you hold the switch and continuous.  After a few minutes of messing around it seems to have quit completely.

Any ideas before I take it off and to the MG shop and wait weeks to get it back?

Did you pull the prop and check for fishing line?

Nope.  Does it have an internal high heat switch?  I will check it in the morning.

I would check all your battery connections, even if they appear tight and clean, this is a common problem.

I would take apart all connections, clean them, and then re-connect them.

If that doesnt help, check if your TM has a plug, and take the plug and receptacle apart and check all those connections too.

I don't know if MG does but MK does for sure

Edit after doing a google search, yes it does have thermal protection

Did all that.  It is a switch opening and closing.  It is too consistent to be corrosion.  The thermal protection fits the symptoms exactly.
