Found a good deal on some spot removers, curious if I should act on it.  Are these any better or worse than Shake2 shakey heads?(Shake2's are what I use right now) What is the hook size on the 1/8oz model? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Spot Removers are my favorite shakey head jigs. I use the 1/8 oz most of the time, unless it is too windy. I then use 3/16 or 1/4. The 1/8 oz have 3/0 hooks. I have a very high hook-up percentage with them.

I have not used the Shake2 jigs, so I can't compare the two. 

Spot remover's are ok, but i prefer the sneed shaky head, they have mustad hooks in them, they stand up straight, and they have a higher hookup percentage. The website is www.sneedproducts.com.

Get the spot removers and see if you like them.  I like them but not around rocks or wood you'll get snagged to easily.  Very easy hookset though.

pretty good ... hooks straighten out pretty easy though if your using braid

The hooks on the standard version were designed for floro and mono. Go up to a the Magnum Spot Remover if you must use braid. The spot remover matched with a zoom finesse worm has caught me more fish then any other bait that I throw.

Does the zoom finesse worm float?

Josh, no the Zoom worms do not float. They will stand up for a while with the jig because the jig has a faster fall rate than the worm.

The worm does not need to float with the head design. Worked on slack line it stands right up.

The only negative to the spot remover is in rocks but there are some ways to make that work also.

I really like them, yes the hooks straighten, but I never experienced that from catching a fish, it happens from getting snagged. They are my go to shaky head jig. Go for it man.

Compared to what you're currently using, the Spot Remover is certainly a step in the right direction.
