Went to a nearby canal during my lunch break and noticed a peacock in the water. I hooked a baby bass fluke weighted with a 1/16oz bullet weight unpegged. Started tossing the fluke I the general direction of the peacock and still nothing. So I decided to move my position so I could have a different presentation. Toss the fluke about 8-10ft away then swam the fluke with slight jerks toward the peacock. Then bang the line got tight and fish on. It put up a pretty decent fight but in the end I plucked it up and out of the water. Nothing huge but I finally got my first peacock bass. post-40765-0-07284900-1366740572_thumb.j

Haha, back to fish ID school for me. I did not know that they got that big. Still was fun little hour, and back to hunting one of suckers down. Thanks for letting me know.
