I just started fishing a new lake that is known for floating debris....

do bass hide under floating debris?  What about docks and structure that is surrounded by floating debris, sticks, logs, limbs etc... any need to fish them... how do you fish them???

punch through the debris and fish under it,or do fish just avoid and move on??  Thanks for the tips...
