How light are you talking? You won't be throwing crappie or bluegill baits on any baitcaster. And light bait casting doesn't just rely on the reel. The rod and line test probably have more of an effect than the reel does.

When i say light i mean around 1/8 oz t-rigs, and 1/4 cranks

Well I know I can cast weightless senkos. And that's on a 7'mh rod.

The S is fool proof. You can easily throw 1/8-1/4 baits/lures while using the pitch brakes. Fool proof.
