I will be replacing my carpet in my boat soon! I been hearing about this rubber carpet everyone is switching to it and loving it. Can anyone give me a brand of that carpet? How they like it? thanks! I take any suggestion!

Marine carpet is rubber backed and not just indoor/outdoor. Im replaceing mine now. never heard of rubber carpet?

Your goal is to select the material you think will reduce the sounds from the boat being transferred into the water.

 

Do your research; ask the manufacturers questions; ask boat dealers questions; ask the pros questions; don't ask the sales clerks as they probably have no idea.

 

Obtain as much data as you can on the Internet.

 

Wonder what type of carpet Ranger has on their new boats?  Ask them. Ranger people are nice people.

Still not sure if you are asking about actual carpet or the marine vinyl?  Many manufacturers are installing marine vinyl instead of carpet or offer it as an option.  G3 boats have models where Vinyl is part of the model name.  Marine vinyl is available at most any boat supply co. or stores like Cabelas and BP.  Main advantage of it is easier to clean.  Carpet will be cooler on your feet if you live in a hot climate like me.

I replaced the carpet in my boat in 09. I used marine carpet on decks and the vinyl dot on the floor of th boat. I was trying to upload pics but they are to big. If you want pics i can txt or email them to you. Let me know. Not sure if what I have is what you are looking for though.

Thanks I believe doing vinyl on bottom and carpet on the bow and back! I was wondering how much hotter it gets than carpet? The other question is the people do have it does it hold up let me know something? Thanks everyone
