  1. I was fortunate enough growing up to have dad that loved to fish. Whenever we went somwhere the rods came along. Now he has aged and I take him along. Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and my home state of Indiana. Spring of next year we are heading to North Carolina to visit my uncle, (dads brother) and will be able to add that to the list.
  2. I would have sold it to them. Then would have went straight to the tourn director and ratted. Give the director the money to disperse as they felt necessary.
  3. I got a manual from NAPA but it was not free. You will probably have between 800-1300 in repairs depending on how deep you go into the repair. I just did my brothers Merc 115 and had just under 1000 in it including machine shop cost.
  4. There have only been two times I have ever needed 4wd to get a boat launched. Once years ago at a small lake that had a sand launch. The second, I was at Brookville Res. I backed down below the water line. This was on a concrete ramp and it was like my tires were spinning on ice. I couldn't even get up the ramp with an empty trailer. If not for 4wd that day I may have lost my truck.
  5. I replaced the carpet in my boat in 09. I used marine carpet on decks and the vinyl dot on the floor of th boat. I was trying to upload pics but they are to big. If you want pics i can txt or email them to you. Let me know. Not sure if what I have is what you are looking for though.
  6. The first Harley I bought had a tealish blue and silver paint scheme. I hated the color but got a good deal. My plans were to paint it, but it grew on me and now I couldnt imagine painting her. Ohh yeah I almost forgot.....CONGRATS! Nice rig
  7. Got the 37lb model on my 78 MonArk. Very reliable motor. Go on Evinrudes page and look under the parts section. They will have a break out of almost all the engines and motors they made. I can view parts for my 78.
  8. Jigs, I have never really put in the hours to learn how to fish them. I generally use a crank, spinner, or a worm rigged various different ways.
  9. I grew up at Tri-lakes here in IN. How can one not fish living on the water. When my parents split we moved in town. I was about the only kid in Ft. Wayne you would ever see wading in th St. Marys fishing (that may be what is wrong with me now). My whole family from my great grandpa all the way down the tree fish. As far as bass goes it was just a natural progression.

As I have aged I have gotten a little ocd. Everything has it's place and if it isn't where it belongs I get stir crazy. While on the water if my boat gets cluttered I have to stop and re-arrange.
  11. Them carp have a lot of fight in them. I really enjoy catching them, never caught one on a crank though.

  13. Each team can only wiegh in 5 fish. That will even things out. No matter how many people are in the boat each boat only gets 5 fish to wiegh in.
  14. I just recently returned from KY Lake. I got a little burnt on Sunday and Monday went out and got this shirt. I really like the shirt. When you sweat the breeze lifts the moisture and cools you. I was pleasantly suprised at how well the shirt worked at keeping me cool. They do run small and are a compression type shirt. I bought a 2xl and it fits loose, which is hte way I want it to fit.
  15. Please tell, I am interested in that as well!
