Yes i know some think that shakespeare doesnt come close to okuma but these are actually really simliar and have pretty good reviews, what im looking for is some advice from first hand experiences that some of you may have had?

I have an Avenger and it has held up pretty well for me. It is smooth and trouble free. It even comes with a spare spool. The only complaint that I have is the graphite frame and the paint tend to chip. But at the price, it is hard to get an aluminum. However, for about $15 more, you can get the BPS Pro Qualifier that seems to be more solid. I have one of those too.

I have an agility I bought for my grandson, stuck it on a 6'6 med rod and I was using it for jigs and trailers a for a couple of months, caught bass in 25" range with it, reel works fine.

I have 2 Avengers (15 and 25) that I've used for a couple of years with no issues at all. They're good reels for the money.

I rarely use my spinning gear, so I picked up an Agility a few years back.  I'd definitely buy another one, it's very smooth on the retreive and the drag is great.
