Fellow bass anglers,

Good day!! I have a Quantum Burst bait casting combo that I bought last year from Gander Mountain. So far I really like the combo. It has an IM8 Rod and the reel is outfitted (pretty sure) with a 6-4:1 gear ratio. It's my first experience with with a bait caster. It's seems like it's decent quality for $70.00. I was wondering if anyone else has this combo and can give me an idea how it stacks up against other combos in the same price range also what the think of it?  I additionally have a Abu Garcia Revo SX married up with a carrot stix micro guide on the way. What do you guys think?

Thanks!!

I had a burst reel it crapped out on me like a month or two into the season no anti reverse or something the spool spun both ways back lashing nightmare. I stripped the handle off it cuz it was slightly longer then the one on my pflueger echelon put it on that and tossed the burst some where in the attic.

The revo sx is awesome in my opinion I have the 2nd gen and love it. The carrot stick well I have no direct experience with it not many people like them they tend to break easily it seems.

Thanks man! I'm glad i got the new setup coming now. Hopefully I don't snap the Carrot stick because i'm pretty rough on my rods.

I have heard that people love the Revo SX. I have also heard about carrot sticks breaking quite a bit. They say the best way to get in touch with e21 (the carrot stick makers) is through facebook, incase you have any issues. I think they were bought out recently and I believe new managament is better.
