Chatterbait and horny toad

Featured Replies

Did anyone else happen to see the little article in Infishermans bass issue about the the horny toad and chatterbait. It's not really a article but just a caption. Basically it says take the skirt and trailer off the chatterbait and replace it with the horny toad. I wonder how well that will work, has anyone tried it

They had a section about this in the newest issue of Bassmaster' also. They said buzzed on top it has killer action. Ill have to try it out this spring -

tried both the horny toad and the fluke on the chatterbait head.  The fluke is the best option, in my opinion but the toad is kinda nice when you run it JUST under the surface.  The only thing I don't like about it is that the fall of the toad (which is kinda wobbly, spirally and slow) is totally taken out of the equation when you stop the bait while using the chatter head.
