  1. I agree, I have the the Iphone and love it but when I seen this I was like ok so.
  2. Come watch me then. I used baitcasters only up till this year and I bought a spinning rig for the finesse fishing. I have practiced and practiced and I still suck with it. To me a baitcaster just feels natural in my hands and I am confident using it. I rarely have backlashes and most of the time it's because I was in a hurry and not paying atten I *** the guys who are spinning reel whiz's cause I know I'm not
  3. I listen to bass edge. I have bass feed downloaded but haven't listened to them yet. I love the FLW video podcasts they are great. I hope to see more bass fishing podcasts come about.
  4. I disagree with you last statement. I use everything that I would use on a large body of water in a farm pond as well. With the exception of deep diving cranks they don't usually work out to well. Just remember to match the hatch. I have had alot of success using carolina rig, drop shot rigs, lipless cranks, tons of them on shakey head, and yes the senko has been a good producer as well. Actually when C rigging I prefer a 10 inch worm I have caught alot of fish doing that.
  5. No offense this is just my opinion but seems to me as far as kvd is concearned that you would have to work harder to get to where he is than back in the day. You don't get to where KVD is without working hard. Same goes for tiger woods. If you can't handle the mental side of the game or competition then it's obvious to me you aren't ready for that level yet. Not saying you cart aren't ready I'm speaking of pro competitors.
  6. I have a wii but no fishing games. There is just no substitute for the real thing.
  7. Shakey head jig would be my choice or drop shot. I would recommend a 1/16 ounce head so u get that slow fall you will get a couple strikes on the fall maybe if not just work the bait in till you get bit.
  8. 1/16 ounce bite me shakey head with a 3 inch yum French fry style bait in bluegill color. I don't remember what the actual name of the bait is I don't have original package anymore that was the only part of the water that wasn't ice. Trees every where too
  9. When you are wanting to fish so bad that you go out and fish this stuff. Just the small area in the picture is the only spot I could fish. Out of all the places I could fish this was the only one that didn't still have ice on it all the way.
  10. Not taking away from KVD or anything but I remember hearing somewhere a couple of years ago that ike's and Kvd thought process about fishing are very close to one another. I wish I could find it but Kvd when asked who most on the trail does he think comes close to his style and his mind set in fishing was, Kvd's answer was without a pause was IKE. Give Ike a little more time to dail in and I think we will see more good things to come from him. Not that we haven't already
  11. I like the strike myself. The begining of good things to come
  12. You know i think we as fisherman get caught up in baits color more and lose focus on how it's presented to the fish. That's my thoughts. But I haven't ever won three classics either jmo
  13. Again one persons trash is gold to the other. The same could be said about me. I can't use a spinner bait and catch fish others here probally could throw just the wire and the hook and forget the blades and skirt and still can catch fish. But seeing how I can't seem to connect when fishing them wouldn't mean I shouldn't be fishing. You know I would love to hear what baits some of the pros can't stand to fish. I think that would be interesting to hear.
  14. It is nice to see what is one persons garbage is another persons gold. Alot of the baits mentioned here are some of my favorites. Allthough I'm really surprised at a couple of the responses
  15. Anyone have a bait they just hate to use even though it's a proven bass catching bait. I have to say mine is a spinner bait. It's a proven bait no arguements there, but I just can't fish one and be productive. It really irritates me too that I hate fishing such a versitile bait. But I have no results hardly when using one and for that reason I rarely throw one.
  16. I just bought the double sided bps binder and the finesse binder too. I haven't had them but a couple of days so I haven't filled them up yet. So far from what I can see they are going to work great. I bought extra bags too from the reveiws on bass pro website they are worth the money.
  17. Lake Toho rings a bell around 4 years ago if I'm right the classic was in Florida the first classic in feb. I say bring on the tough conditions let's see who shines on this one.
  18. Well I normally use gammys and was on a mission to stock up on terminal tackle for this year. I only bought four packs of them 2 and 3 ewg and some drop shot hooks. I was just looking for a cheaper alternative to the gammy's but after further inspection and looking at them I can see where they are more opt to bend considering I bent them a little by hand. Live and learn I guess should have just stuck to what was working
  19. I picked up a few packs of them today. Look to be good hooks, price is definatly good for the amount of hooks. I picked up some of their flourocarbon line too I hope it meets my expectations
  20. Yeah you could get a whisker bicuit. I would advise aginst it myself. It's a well known fact that the drop away rests are more acurate, more so at ranges fifty yards up. Now the downside to the drop away is mechanical failure which is rare, most often it is improper installation on the users part. The biscuits down fault is increased wear on your arrows vanes. That and any imperfections with your form or follow through will effect arrow flight with the biscuit as your Arrow is in contact with your rest for a longer period of time. The main benefit of the biscuit that has been a selling point since it's *** has been a full capture rest great for spot and stalk rest. Now in last couple of years there are drop aways that offer the same advantage of the biscuit with full containment yet still have the drop away advantage.
  21. Hoyt makes a good bow. I think you will be happy. May I suggest a dropaway rest. I think you will be happy with that style of rest and it will help with accuracy as well.
  22. I was a shimana man, well still am to an extent I like them alot and no problems. But I bought my zillions and I absolutly love them. As stated already they are so easy to adjust and just feel rite in my hands. I remember avid said here once and I will try to get it correct without butchering it to much cause its been a couple of years ago. If you want a smoothness like a cadilac get a shimano, if you want to feel of a high end sports car get a daiwa.
  23. I have a bunch I'm tired of digging through to find what I need all the time. I am going to organize them in order of my most used and favorite while the rest of the ones I don't use as much stay stored away. My issue of storing the ones I don't use isn't a problem I'll just buy some rubber maid containers and sort them accordingly As for the ones used frequently I was thinking maybe a couple of these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10200096_100011010_100000000_100011000_100-11-10 Any one use these or have any suggestions.
  24. Would love to get one but the further I dig into it the more I'm finding out the low supply is on purpose to create a impulse buy and to keep the sales up. That's what I read not my opinion. And from what the guy at target said related to the info I read Don't know the reasons why there is a shortage weather it a marketing ploy or they just can't keep up but I'm not real concearned. We was hooked on getting one but now we have already changed our minds Oh well their lose not ours
  25. Was thinking about buying a wii to help combat cabin fever for the family. But to my surprise there are none to be had. Yet the advertisements are still going strong. Whats gives????
