Bassmaster / Roland Martin article - interesting
I know a doctor who started his career in the army during the korean war and come back and started his own practice and was involved in numerous things to help people. His work was his life much like rolands. When did retire I remember someone asking him how he liked being retired and he said, I have seen it all and done it all after a while even if you love doing it you have to take time for yourself and enjoy it I have been doing it 50 years thats long enough. I'll bet if someone asked roland about his career he will probally say close to the same thing. I bet to him it seems like yesterday it all just started with his first tournament and now he is here today wondering how the time went so fast. I'm sure his family has alot to do with it alot of time away over the years and now it's there turn

Re: thegreatestfisher
I wouldn't say he was pathetic he is just a kid with his heart in the wrong place. Maybe he will heed glenns advice and use this site as a tool to become better or so we should hope.

spawning bass question
I fish mostly private owned ponds and was just wondering if i should not fish when the bass are spawning, would it hurt the bass population by catching a bass on the nest even though i will be releasing it I'm not and expert on the subject but I don't want to hurt the bass population in the ponds I fish if the eggs or fry are going to be eaten because of me fishing

shad
I was looking thought the new reg's for 2006 here in ky and noticed that the posesion and use of shad for bait on alot of smaller lakes has been banned I don't use shad for bait but always thought having shad in a lake was good forage for bass. Anybody have any idea's why shad is a bad thing for smaller lakes I email the ky dept of fish and wildlife but the answer they gave me was using limb lines and jug's produce a higher mortality rate for channel catfish. Haven't figured that one out yet ask about shad and they answer me back about catfish maybe they got the email confused.

pond fishing!?
I would have to agree with roadwarrior using the right size and sharp hooks are important I fish ponds alot and would say the same thing not to mistake the hits for vegitation in the water but since you see the fish I'm not real sure. Are you using ewg hooks. I think they help in certain situations

BR.com challenges Charlie Moore- 6/7 update
Lbh I will donate a little money to your cast kids project regardless if charlie excepts the challenge or not and maybe if all the members sent a email to espn it might help. really if you think about it it is the charity that is the ultimate goal here

OK, I am bummed out
well lets see have been practicing pitching and flipping so much in the yard people driving by must think I'm nuts. buying more lures, reading past issues of bassmaster, and last but not least chaseing my father in law's deer running beagle dogs and wishing I was fishing the whole time.

Help my wife has been bitten
I had somewhat the same problem with my wife except she wanted a ski/slash fishing boat. I told her it was a bass boat or nothing of course she said ok we won't be getting a boat, we need something the whole family can use. trying to reason with her how a bass boat could be for the family wasn't working. Then she asked me why i wanted a bass boat over any other and I just happened to be watching a fishing show and they where right up on the bank almost and I said see look there you can't fish the shallow water with a ski boat. (maybe you can I don't know) I told her why buy a boat if I can't use it for what I want it for I don't ski and if I am going to be on the water I'm going to be fishing. So that convinced her and she said well i guess your right get a bass boat

Guys with docks
the article i just talked about above in field and stream had a paragraph in it i thought truly disliked but it talked about 10 guides being arrested for floating down the salmon river. there was a two and a half mile section that happend to be owned by a former state senator and it was being managed as a pay to fish deal. The courts favored in the land owners favor Now I don't know anything about the salmon river in ny but the article does state navigable means fishable This might not pertain so much towrard the dock situation but I think it is along the lines of it though

Attention AOL users & Newsletter Subscribers
jsut called them and told them it isn't right not that they care but I called there and Glenn not that i actually hold them to any truth they said they would send an email when the block was taken off I didn't get rude with them or anything but I did tell them that they need to work on there services a little more The one thing that does make me mad is the fact that I spent all that time trying to get on this site for something they deemed spam and I'm the one requesting the site not them

I'm not the best with a computer but some info that might have helped me get on here was aol asked me if i wanted to receive stuff from bass resource and of course I said yes not thinking it was going to help me get on here i gave up after a couple of days i came back and was able to type in my username and get my password I truly wish I could get rid of aol but the wife pays for it and she just loves it so what do you do. but you can bet i will call them and let them know how i feel
