Choosing Line

Featured Replies

How do you guys look at when choosing line what lb do y'all get for each type of fishing wheather it being jigs, plastics so on.

Depends on baitcasting or spinning. For me, I use spinning reels, and will usually stay around 10 lb. test or equivalent diameter for Fireline or Power Pro. 6-8 lb. test for more finesse approaches.

Generally for bait casters i stick with 12# line. For spinning reels, 8#. 12# line is a good all around line IMO.
