  1. If you like a sour beer, try a gose style. Naturally lower ABV%, and very tasty. Sierra Nevada Otra Vez is a good one to start with.
  2. Welcome from Dyer, Indiana!
  3. I would've bought all of them at that price!
  4. I feel that the Shock rods are one of the best rods you can buy in that price range. No complaints at all with mine.
  5. Interesting...could help with hook-ups but also hurt with more snags.
  6. Based on the elaborate boat designs on professionals boats, I'm sure it's not too big of a factor.
  7. Local Gander Mountain here closing down. It's too bad, but the online competition seems to be hitting a lot of companies nowadays.
  8. I think what you are talking about is a Cush-It. Some pros use them to help cushion the butt of the rod from digging into their ribs all day long. The flotation aspect is a bonus.
  9. The rest of the "deals" aren't spectacular. Half of the items in the sale paper aren't even sale prices! Regular prices with fancy pictures. Unfortunately this sale seems to get more predictable and less worthwhile each year. And each year I get Bass Pro gift cards for Christmas, wait for this sale, and find none of what I want on sale.
  10. Live crickets work well here in Indiana.
  11. I've heard it is nasty! Don't want to try it
  12. Hello and welcome from Northwest Indiana
  13. That's a carp. Nice way to be innovative!
  14. Everyone is picking the Cubs to finally win it all. That scares me. But with all that talent, they will be fun to watch. Let's go Cubs!
  15. Google it and there are hundreds of ideas. And yes, it does work. A flash of a bottle cap is similar to a flash of spinnerbait or a bladed lure and fish will hit it. It's a fun novelty that actually works at times!
  16. Up here in Northwest Indiana, a little orange in the skirt helps out a lot, even if it's minimal. Bluegill skirts or white with a stand of Orange work well.
  17. Welcome from Dyer Indiana!
  18. Without a trailer, you'd have to put a canoe on top of your vehicle. As for numbers on an inflatable boat, put the numbers on a plastic board and hang it on the bow when in use.
  19. Headed down there for a week staying on the Banana River. Anyone fish this area? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  20. Sounds like a good day to me!
