I have been slaying fish on a #8 Rapala Xrap in a minnow pattern in ponds with a visibility of less than a foot. Fish are not very good readers so there are no set rules.

I've fished regular jigs, but I've never fished hair jigs. Everyone says they shine in cold water, is that their only use? OR could you fish it when the fishing is slow or if you're around smaller fish?

Those of you who have confidence when throwing a spinnerbait, what color are you throwing? What size are you throwing? Are you using it as a search bait making long casts or target cast? Thanks! -Payton

Yesterday I went out to a pond that recently had quite a bit of rain and water visibility was around 6 inches. I threw a small Rapala Xrap #6 and whacked the bass and panfish for hours. Also as the day came to a close it got cloudy and the wind started picking up so I pulled out a white buzz bait and caught this beautiful pre spawn female!

Fun to throw on the pompadour jr. little one pounders will fly out of the water for that thing!
