Creeks in North West Arkansas

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any creeks near the Fort Smith area? Looking for new places to catch some fish!

:D

Lee Creek is good.  If you have a boat, you can put in at Fort Smith Park and go almost straight across to where it feeds into the Arkansas River.  If not, there's a park over on the Van Buren side where you can fish from the bank.

I don't know how far you'd travel. I lived in Clarksville AR for about 6 years. There's a small river off of Main St. There is big bass in there. That's where I caught a 8lb lmb on a spook. There's also crappie, and white bass farther down the way.

Do you have a boat or looking for creeks to walk?  With a boat there is Clear Creek in Alma, Lee Creek in Van Buren, there is Massard Creek which is accessible from Tremble Park (Lock & Dam 13)  If you are walking creeks I was told about Vache Grass down towards Lavaca.
