Can the Lew's Tournament SS TS1-H be super tuned or would it be worth having it done to the reel?

Kind of a waste, as I told you before, and I believe DVC suggested the same. Flush and lube with proper lubes and it is a very hard reel to improve on, as Lew's uses very high quality components and tight tolerances. It is one of the best out there. But certainly it can be SUPER TUNED, I mean if you want, a Calais DC can be Super Tuned, you just have to question if the gain is worth it.

Lol, that's why I asked if it was worth it, I don't want the bearings changed. I was just wondering about polishing points of friction really. Then again I also wonder about having a custom paint job done to it or hydro dipping or airbrushing it too.. like my guns with cerakoating and durakotes,when I find reels I really love, I'd like them customized compeletely if possible. They are my adult toys ha ha.

Hydro dip would be sick.. That's all you really need to do to it!! Post pics if you decide on that

Again little to be gained mechanically, the rest is totally personal preference and will not enhance performance. Personalizing is totally ,,,,,,,,,,, well ,,,,,,,,, personal! GO FOR IT!

Yes it can be supertuned and gains from supertuning said reel will be consistent with the gains that one gets from supertuning most reels. There are many threads on supertuning which may help you in your decision. Contacting Mike at DVT would not be a bad idea. 

 

It is hard to say whether or not it is worth the upgrade, but know that the process is irreversible and not always beneficial depending on your ability.
