I was wondering if anyone has tried 1 of the field& stream tech spec rods. I am thinking about getting 1 for soft plastics. any feed back would be appreciated.

    I think for that price range it wouldn't be my choice.. But keep In mind I never fished with them or know any one who fished with them but I have held one at the store..

    Get one and try it out. If you don't like it, take it back. Those run about $60 IIRC, and for just a little more you can find a Veritas. EDIT: Walmart.com has the Veritas micro guide series rod in a 7' MH for $72.82. You can get it shipped free to your local store to save on shipping. I'd jump on that deal.
