My wife, daughter (10yr old) and I are  visiting my dad who just moved from Clearwater area to the other coast in Micco area. Was just curious of some local attractions / beaches and things to do in this area since we become accustom to the clearwater area. We like to have things planned or ideas bf we get there to make as much out of the trip as we can. Also any local fishing holes i can hit from the bank would be cool as i wont have a boat. We will have transportation once we arrive, there for driving a couple hours is not that big of deal for us. Thanks in advance!

My wifes grandparents live in Barefoot bay. I hear that is a great area for all kinds of inshore, nearshore and surf fishing. Beautiful area, looks great for boating. We have visited them twice, that last time was just a day trip it is about 2 and a half hours to them from southern Jax.

 

A little north is Port Canaveral if your into the space thing visit Kennedy, I think it is about an hours drive.

 

Other than that I don't know.
