Prop Pitch And Other Mods

Featured Replies

Ive done some research, but wanted a few more opinions. Ive got an 18` bass fiberglass bass boat with a 150 on it. Right now the prop on it is a ss 14-1/4" x 21" pitch. I have a friend who has a 23" also stainless that wants to sell it to me for $100, and looks in good shape. He said Ill get a little more speed and gas mileage which the mileage is what Id like to see improve. From what Ive read 23-24, primarily 23" is where to be with this size boat and motor. What do you guys think? Any other modifications to improve performance/mileage? Thanks in advance!

Ask him to let you try it out for a day and just make sure you are within recommended rpm's for your motor at WOT
