First Black Sea Bass

Featured Replies

I was fishing for stripers in the cape cod canal and ran in to this guy. I had never caught one nor had I seen one in person. It was a pretty neat fish...

Pretty cool...gotta love those bonus fish!

Decent sized one there. They're all over down here. Next time you come down take a party boat out and you'll catch a ton. They've got a closed season because apparently they need protecting (I think they could stand to be whittled away at for a couple years, but I'm not a marine biologist) but it's open from June 1st - sometime around September.

My friend caught something that looked like it last time we were down...
