Do Some Lures Stay Out Of Tune?

Featured Replies

Do some lures stop tuning after a while? I have a bomber long a that won't run true anymore no matter how much I try. It looks to be fine except some scuffs here and there. I mean its just an eyelet right?

I've had a couple of lipless cranks (can't say anything bad about a sponsor) that absolutely would not tune.  Bent the eyelet almost straight over and still wouldn't work.  Kept the hooks and deep sixed the plug.

Did you check the eyelets where the hooks attach as well?  I'm not 100% on this but I think I read somewhere that if those eyelets are bent it can make the bait run off center.  Just a thought.
