Best Bass Fishing Spots In Southern Maine (Portland Area)

Featured Replies

The wife and I are going on our honeymoon to Maine the first week of July. I'm looking for some good productive pond or lake for bass. Around or near Portland. We'll need some type of shore access. Any help would be great. Thanka

If you go to Maines dept of inland fisheries website there will be a list of lakes and ponds in each county, very helpful and informative as to species, and access.   would also recommend a maine gazateer to help you get along,it list maps throughout the state page by page, it's money well spent and very helpful, some very nice ponds and lakes in that area.  Congratulations on your wedding, enjoy your honeymoon.

walk the banks of the androscoggin river for smallies

park near the d**n near durham. or the access road near hacker rd. huge smallies and nice northern pike

all you need is a suspending jerkbait in black and chrome or a dark colored senko
