Me and a couple buddies are wanting to fish the Susquehanna as we never have before. We are looking to camp all weekend, anyone know any good places to camp that fishing on the river is good. Any help would be appreciated.

Do a search on the pa fish and game site as there are a bunch of islands with official campsites you can use if you are doing a multi-day float in the Harrisburg area. There is also a campground that you can use on the junction of the juniata that can serve as a basecamp for day trips on a power boat.

I have fished from sunbury down to Harrisburg and also the juniata and its all good and fun but it is a big river from a width perspective so finding fish can be tricky at times.

Thanks ill look into it. I have found a couple campgrounds up by the sunbury area that we are thinking about going too.

Depending On When You Plan On Making The Trip, You Can Camp Right In My Yard. I'm 2 Miles From A Great Susq. BoAt Launch And 5 Miles From The Chemung River Launch. Both Excellent Rivers For Smallies And Both Only A Few Min Away
