  1. What things could I do better with a medium rod over a medium heavy rod ? I don't have anything under 3/8 oz weights, if I do its Texas rigging with a 1/4 oz weight and that equals more than 3/8 oz anyways.
  2. Yeah I usually whip them out there because I'm usually fishing from the bank. I fish occasionally from a boat but usually from bank.
  3. I run 50 lb braid. Wouldn't that be 160 yards then ? Isn't 50 lb same size as 12 mono.
  4. I'll be running braid. I thought that since the bb1 pro have a braid ready spool wouldn't it be better for braid ?
  5. I'm looking at ***. Should I go heavy or mh ?
  6. I have that now. Should I get another ?
  7. How much farther would you think a bb1 pro would throw over a tournament. I like throwing farther out because I fish from the banks most of the time.
  8. I mainly throw 3/8 oz jigs with trailers and up. I don't throw anything 1/4 oz often enough. I barely throw them that light.
  9. Sorry guys for lack of info. I will be using a lew's tournament speed spool. Right now I have 1 rod that I do it all with from throwing frogs in thick stuff to topwater, spinners, Texas rigs, and crankbaits. I would like to get another rod and kinda split the stuff I do between 2 rods instead of having 1 rod for everything. I fish in mainly open water but occasionally some thick stuff. I mainly throw 3/8 oz jigs and 1/2 oz jigs. Mainly everything I throw is 3/8. I very rarely throw a 1/4 oz lure.
  10. So 2 mh rods would be better than a mh and med ?
  11. Right now I have a medium heavy rod that I use for everything. What would best help me fishing to purchase next ? I know what reel, looking mainly for a rod.
  12. What's the difference in them 2??
  13. I own a tournament speed spool right now.
  14. Would you recommend the tournament speed spool then ? I like Lew's so I would prefer to stay with them.
  15. Okay thanks. I am buying from tackle warehouse since they're running a tax sale.
