Headed out to Lake Shabbona tomorrow. Planning on using slip bobber rig with minnows because there are 3 kids >11 and they can't have anything too complicated. Its for my little brothers birthday haha. Any tips for fishing this lake? Anyone have success there?

    Tips? Bring your patience. That place gets hammered. I've heard there is decent fishing there, but I've heard MUCH more that it's not worth the trouble. Have you checked the Lake Link on it?

    Yeah there are some good tips online, just wanted to see if anyone here has been there and if they've had success. It isn't my first time going, just the first time taking a boat. Hoping for a few nice fish
