  1. I fish a lot of clear lakes and therefore use somewhat light line. I typically throw 8lb flouro. When fishing clear water with jerkbaits, drop shots etc. what's the lightest line you have or do use?
  2. My worst would have to be Illinois and Indiana... Granted I haven't fished in too many other states there is just a lack of quality fisheries around here
  3. Chompers drop shot worms are all I use
  4. Gamagatsu or owner drop shot hooks, a tungsten pencil style weight and chompers drop shot worms are pretty much all I throw. I don't think you can beat a chompers drop shot worm
  5. Caught a few nice smallies in a high pressure lake with these, they deflect off of cover very well
  6. Received quite a few of the original fishing snakes as a gift a few years ago. I find myself using a frog more often because it casts so well, but these lures do work and the hook up ratio is excellent, I've never missed a fish
  7. C-Rig... Tried it once and I'd much rather throw a jig or dropshot
  8. Drop shot works best for me as soon as they thaw, ponds still frozen here in Illinois
  9. Wish there was a 5 or 6 inch version for our northern lakes
  10. For creeks my best lures are 3" or 4" wack rigged senkos, drop shot works well too especially w/ gulp alive minnows, and can't wait to try river2sea standing yabbies that I picked up should work great too
  11. The action is great.really Looks like the real thing and catches big fish
  12. Chompers drop shot worm is my favorite
  13. If you know where the bass are in the pond then it's not bad. There's a pond in my subdivision that is VERY small. There's probably a 30'by 30' square that is deep enough where the bass hold. I was able to catch a couple when there was even some ice in there on a drop shot. It's really works. I use a spinning setup, 8lb line, and choppers drop shot worms
  14. Yeah the highs are mid 40's here in Illinois. I was planning to fish the drop shot in some ponds in the coming weeks. Usually produces. Or throw a sponnerbait
  15. He also had a show where he used a med. action rod while using hollow bodies frogs. I guess he just does whatever he feels like at this point.
  16. You can consitently get lews tp's(200$) for 130 on ebay. Great deals.
  17. My biggest muskie was 8 lbs, oh man
  18. 3/8oz black and blue jig
  19. There are a ton a lews fans on the forums, including myself. Sweet reels
  20. Thanks guys, the water still felt steaming hot and the fish were sure biting. Caught some nice ones
  21. Hi guys, headed out to fish in a couple hours. The weather has been 90+ the last week and now yesterday and today its 70. Is this what you guys talk about when you say a front? Like cold front? Any tips on what the bass should be doing or is it mostly the same? Thanks a lot guys
  22. How deep was the fish caught? 6ft Did the lure contain rattles or have hinges? Spinnerbait Was the lure a natural color (brown, green) or was it an unnatural color (chartreuse, orange)? Natural If possible, what moon phase was your PB caught during? N/A
  23. Never seen a lamprey before, here in N.IL it seems like every fish we catch has some leeches in their mouths
