  1. Hey guys me and my cousin are taking his new boat out on lake Varner in Covington Georgia. Anybody ever fished here? We could use some tips on what to use and where to go, thanks
  2. Has anybody tried these things?! I'm itching to know if they really work! Let me know, and what do you guys think about them?
  3. Hey guys I'm in St Augastine Florida for the next two weeks and brought down a couple rods I'm wondering if there are any local ponds/lakes to fish around me, thanks!
  4. Okay so this past weekend I picked up some jigs. I got some 3/8 strike king bitsy bugs and strike king heart attack 3/4 oz both black and blue, I got some black and blue KVD perfect plastics trailers. I also got some green pumpkin jigs and green pump rage tail craw trailers, yesterday I fished the bitsy bug and KVD trailer without a single bite ( I fish ponds from a john boat water is pretty dark and muddy) anyway I've never really fished jigs and was looking for some tips/tricks and how I should fish them. There are lots of thick grass beds and hydrillia and I was also wondering if I need to use any different type of jigs and trailers, all help is welcome, thanks for your time!
  5. Oops, forgot to mention my friend has a Jon boat on the pond, game changer
  6. First off I'm young, 15 so any chance I get to go to basspro I maximize the trip, I'm going on Thursday and am looking to get some new lures. I mainly fish ponds around my area, they are dark with lots of cover and probably 12ft at the deepest point. I usually fish plastics, texas rigged like baby brush hogs and flukes and trick worms green pumpkin and watermelon (flukes). I'm looking to get some frogs, spinners and Jigs and trailers for the jigs. what ones/ size/ color/ how to fish them. All help is appreciated, Thanks! Ps is a spinner in the brush ok? The middle of the pond is pretty clear but the banks have decent amount of brush at parts, but some of the banks are clear
  7. Personally I use my fieldine HUNTING pack and it's great, tons if room for storage boxes and I use the attachable fanny pack that connects to the main backpack for all my plastics, I highly recommend looking into hunting bags, you could use the bow/ rifle holder to hold your rods too!
  8. Hey! Personally I do a lot of pond fishing, I'm young, don't have a boat for the lake, and nobody in my family fishes, so I've learned a lot on my own. Anyway lately in the spawn I've been using a green pumpkin baby brush hog with a bullet weight and regular worm hook, it's been killing them! Just make sure and fish it a little slower when you know your close to the beds, best of luck!
  9. guys i have recently been looking at the Abu Garcia Veritas, any thoughts on that?!

  12. Aqualkinbush. I don't think I'm going to get this rod. I feel I'm pressured to get it for the sale and I could probably take my time to find a better rod.
  13. I am looking to get a new rod for my crank baits and spinners I am considering the daiwa ballistic spinning rod but have not decided on a reel. The ballistic is in sale for $60 compared to$100. I would love some feedback for choosing a new rod and reel. Thank you
