What Combo To Get For 2013! Under 300$
Does anyone have problems with the veritas? Because the reviews i've seen said they're easy to break. Do you really like them? i put a chronarch on one yesterday at bps and i really think i might pick the combo up. I was going to save and get a powell endurance, but the vritas seems nice, and looks great with the chronarch.

Multipurpose Setup
I've resently received a 150$ giftcard to basspro, so the lews reel i was looking at is out of the question because they dont sell it there. I'm planning on getting a chronarch at bass pro and ordering a powell endurance. Now i don't have a ton of money(highschool student) and can only get one other pole so i i need this setup to function for a variety of uses.I already have a crankbait setup, spinning setup for lighter uses, and then a bunch of other mediocre combos for fishing with bait. So this will be used for jigs, frogs, topwater,spinninerbaits,... Etc. So what do you think for gear ratios and power of the rod??

Upgraded Bearings!
Sweet thanks a lot! Ill have to check that out. And thanks BobP! I didnt know that! And adressing the 2nd question a little.... i've heard new bearings do wonders, so if a lews tournament is 150$ and a chronarch is 200$. Would orange bearings for the lews top its performance? Because it matches the price then.

The reel was a gift from a long time ago and i i really didnt realize it was as cheap as it is! Your exactly right though, that would be a pointless purchase. Thankyou! I'll just put that 50$ towards that new setup im getting

Upgraded Bearings!
I just shot bocabearing an email to see if they had any idea. I'm starting to question the idea of upgrading bearings on such a cheap reel though. Does anyone have an opinion?

Upgraded Bearings!
I'm going to buy new bearings for my Bass Pro Shops Bionic Plus reel. It's old and not the best, but works as a okay crankbait reel for me. I heard the orange boca bearing would whip it back into shape. The Product #BNP10SC yet mine looks different than the one currently on the website. Well I'm having trouble finding which bearing size to get because it's listed no where. So any help would be great! Also, kind of a sub question, when I buy the Lew's tourney pro or the shimano chronarch, will the orange boca bearings be a good addition to them?

Is the lew's tournament pro speed spool a better buy than the tournament speed spool? It seems like its just a little extra weight. And also with all of these rod choices, are they all going to be very light?

Hi Everybody, From Northern Illinois
Hi I'm Austin. I'm 14 and have been fishing all my life. I guess you could say my dad helped me get into fishing, but he's not much of a fisherman himself. I'm not sure why the sport stuck to me, but it did and i've been hooked for years. So just a little about myself- I play a lot of competetive baseball and football, so my lifes always busy. Whenever i get a free monent I'm out on the lakes. I would consider myself a good fisherman, but like anyone else i've got a lot to learn! I'm pretty young so hopefully no body minds. I normally enjoy pond hopping or hitting up a local lake, but the fox river is a 1/2 mile away and there are plenty of smallmouth to be caught! So thats a little about me! Glad i'm on the forum
