West Point Ga Fishing Rrport 6/22/13

Bass: Fishing is hot from safe light until about 11 am when the lakers show up with their speed boats and jet skis. Fish are starting to hit their summer haunts ( deep humps, rock piles, chanel ledges, and submerged tree tops) but their are still lots of quality fish in grass mats feeding on bream on beds and young of the year shad. look for coves with vegetation with wind blowing into the cove. Fish a popping frog in pockets and edges of mats and vegetation above water line and buzz baits over submerged vegetation should draw some vicious reaction strikes.

the old reliable black trick worm serms to also be a good bait for numbers in the same area.

During midday fish off shore and hit deep points with a bomber or bandit 200 for spotted an LM bassalso fishing humps and rock piles with a SK 6XD could yeild quality fish along with a surprise striper or hybrid. In the evening its hard to beat a carolina rig with just about any plastics, squarebill crank, terminator spinnerbait, or a jerkbait as the fish strap on the feed bag for the night.

in my last 3 trips i have just caught them till I'm tired of catching them. i would like to thank all the guys here on br for all the help, tips, and info if not for yall i don't think id have this much success especially in june!! Thanks again hope you guys arr having the same luck
